Prevention Research Support Program

Dear ISPRN members, the NSW Ministry of Health is pleased to announce Round 5 of the Prevention Research Support Program (PRSP), formerly known as the Population Health and Health Services Research Support Program, for the period July 2017 to June 2021.

Funding is available to eligible NSW research organisations or collaborations conducting prevention and early intervention research that aligns with NSW Health priorities.

The PRSP will direct funds towards research infrastructure and strategies to build research capability and translate evidence from research into policy and practice.

Intending applicants should refer to the following documents which are available at www.health.nsw.gov.au/research/Pages/PRSP.aspx:

  • NSW Health Prevention Research Support Program Information Kit for funding Round Five – July 2017 to June 2021
  • NSW Health Prevention Research Support Program Round Five Application Package
  • Prevention Research Support Program Standard Funding Agreement

All applications will be assessed against the eligibility and selection criteria set out in the Information Kit and Application Package. All funding will be provided on the basis of the Standard Funding Agreement, and all applications must be submitted on the Application Form (Part 1 of the Application Package).

Previously funded organisations under the Program may re-apply for funding under this round. However, there should be no expectation that PRSP funds will continue to go to the same organisations/collaborations.

The closing date for applications is Wednesday 30 November 2016.
