Please take the time to browse the site and learn about our past and present projects and what has been happening in ISPRN. Your feedback on the website is also very welcome. Please feel free to provide any comments to ISPRN co-ordinator Alyssa Munkman amunkman@uow.edu.au .

ISPRN has long sought to develop a sustainable model of primary care research by developing equal partnerships between our clinical and academic researchers. With this in mind, we are running our annual ISPRN research conference on Saturday 8 August at Wollongong’s innovation campus from 8.30am – 2pm.

This conference will provide the opportunity for clinicians and academic researchers alike to network and seek out collaboration opportunities as well as to hear about progress and results from current projects.

If you would like to attend the research conference please Click here to Register

If you are interested in joining the network please contact Alyssa Munkman for more information.

Kind Regards,

Practice Nurses Knowledge, Opinion and Practices of Influenza Vaccination

Dear ISPRN members,

Please find message below from ISPRN Member, Professor Liz Halcomb:

Hi All I have a BN Hons student Sarah Smith who is doing a survey of influenza knowledge and practices amongst nurses working in general practice. She is focussing on nurses employed in general practice within the Illawarra Shoalhaven and Southern MLs. I have sent this to Pilar to be disseminated via the ML but it would be a very big help if you were able to assist her in disseminating the work widely amongst local nurses working in general practice.

As a local nurse herself she is very keen to conduct this local study and feedback to the local area about the implications of the work. A spiel about the survey is provided below – any help you could provide in disseminating this would be much appreciated. Practice Nurses Knowledge, Opinion and Practices of Influenza Vaccination We are looking for nurses working in primary health care to undertake a 7-10 minute anonymous online survey.

This study aims to capture information about nurses’ knowledge, opinion and practices around influenza vaccination. The research will inform future policy and practice. Questions will ask you for information about yourself, your understanding of issues, opinions and current practice around influenza vaccination. You can find out more information and complete the survey at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/PNFluVaxSurvey

Further enquiries please contact: Ms Sarah Smith, University of Wollongong ss889@uowmail.edu.au

This study has been approved by the University of Wollongong / Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District Health and Medical Human Research Ethics Committee (Approval Number HE15/126).
