The Illawarra and Southern Practice Research Network (ISPRN) is funded by the University of Wollongong’s School of Medicine (SOM).
It is our vision to become a centre of excellence for the promotion of research, education and quality improvement in primary health care with a particular focus on the health of regional, rural and remote populations.
To further this aim, ISPRN has the following goals:
- develop a sustainable primary health care research network to support the UOW’s Faculty of Science Medicine and Health in undertaking high quality practice-based research
- develop highly innovative targeted research streams in primary health care and health professional education research
- provide high-quality research training through mentoring, workshops, online learning and Higher Degree Research student supervision.
