ISPRN Research Conference

Dear ISPRN Members,

You are invited to attend the Illawarra and Southern Practice Research Network (ISPRN)/ Health Impacts Research Cluster (HIRC) research development conference.

The conference will be held:

Date: Saturday 8 August 2015

Time: Refreshments and registration will commence at 8.30am with the conference opening at 9am.

Venue: Ocean Room, Level 2, Building 230, Innovation Campus, Squires Way, North Wollongong

It is easiest to locate the venue by entering the Innovation campus from Squires Way. If entering from this direction, Building 230 is the first building on your left hand side and the parking station is immediately on your right hand side.

Parking: It is easiest to park in P1 (as per the attached map). Parking is FREE on the weekend. Please take a ticket upon entering the car park. You wont need to validate the ticket in the machine, you will be able to just insert it at the boom gate as you depart.

This conference will provide the opportunity for clinicians and academic researchers alike to network and seek out collaboration opportunities as well as to hear about current research interests and projects.

This Generation Healthcare- Telehealth Workshop

This Generation Healthcare – Telehealth Workshop

 On 14 August, the Global eHealth Research and Innovation Cluster is hosting This Generation Healthcare – Telehealth Workshop which is being led by Clinical Business Analyst Ashley Young, from Hunter New England LHD’s Clinical Telehealth Programme.  

The event will enable those interested in telehealth, tele-rehabilitation, tele-practice and related use of electronic systems for health information to explore ideas, priorities, challenges and ways to embed telehealth as standard practice when appropriate.  Keynote speaker and workshop facilitator Ashley Young, Clinical Business Analyst for Hunter New England Health’s Telehealth programme, will present on how clinical Telehealth is changing the face of healthcare, and the opportunities for clinicians, patients and researchers as a result of the many applications for Telehealth.

The event will be held in the Treehouse, Shortland Union from 12pm – 5pm.  Further information including the program is available on the Global eHealth Research and Innovation Cluster website and registrations are open.

The International Shared Decision Making and International Society of Evidence Based Health Care Conference

The International Shared Decision Making and International Society of Evidence based Health Care Conference has opened up registration for all pre-conference workshops on Sunday 19th July 2015 at the University of Sydney.  These workshops are led by world leaders in the fields of Evidence Based Health Care and Shared Decision Making.  Full day rate including lunch is $150 and half day is $75, *$25 consumers workshop.  Note you DO NOT have to register for the full conference to participate.

When registering through the online form please choose one workshop when attending half day and two workshops when attending a full day. Please note that all Pre Conference Workshops will take maximum half a day – apart from Glyn Elwyn’s – From Class to Clinic workshop (1).

All fees are quoted in Australian dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of 10% GST. Registrations must be received and paid in full by 17 April 2015 – midnight AEST) in order to receive the early bird registration rate. Late registration can be paid up till the day of the conference.
