Well worth a look and a boon when travelling and you need access to storage or sharing items with international contacts.
Hosted externally, which brings along its own considerations, but this type of thing would have great potential for groups of students working collaboratively on a group assignment, sharing progress between themselves and tutor etc…
Currently free for up to 2GB of storage, plans beyond that.
Yes i agree, portability is really important these days. You need all your stuff with you, online, wherever you go.
I’m pleased to say that the current project to upgrade student mail comes with it an improved online storage facility for students. So we’ll have them covered as more students opt in to move across to the new mail in the latter half of this year.
So the challenge then – how to get the same sort of capability for staff? We’re looking at it in the scope of the current eLearning upgrade project. I’ll keep you posted.
