It’s a DVD screen in the front and embedded stereo speakers inside to maximize the experience. Looks luscious and womb like. I actually found it really bad on the back, it forces you to hunch over. No way I could sit through a whole movie in there!

Gesture-based computing being highly experimental, augmented reality being still very experimental, digital data analysis, electronic books and open content getting some more mature usage, and mobiles hitting the majority.
Saw the full potential of the NoteBook software that authors and presents lessons on the SmartBoards. Thankyou Hannah Russell for taking the time to show me how it works. I particularly liked the split screen display of 2 sources, the URL link, the on-screen touch keyboard (like iPad) and the screen capture and paste functions.
Looking forward to hearing how it goes with using Bridgit software to share those lessons in real time with remote students.
I got an email this morning from Sharon Robinson in Biology that she and her team had one first prize in the CholorFilms recent (session 3) content for the best plant videos on YouTube.
Congrats! I loved the video too, and learnt a lot. I’m emailing a link to my son, who is interested in this kind of thing and trying to work out some career/uni options. I wonder if it will impress a 15 year old? I guess he’s right on the money for a potential UOW student. (Bright kid, local high-school, curious by nature.)
