This network has been organised and supported by the Faculty of Law Humanities and Arts at the University of Wollongong, Australia. The purpose of this network is to build the research capacity of academics in, and promote research on, emotions in contemporary social contexts. CERN will extend the focus of research beyond traditional psychological and classical-historical concerns with emotions. It will examine and interlink emotions research from a range of contemporary fields, including sociology, philosophy, politics, law, cultural studies, literature, modern history, education and creative arts and media.
The network is open to academics and PhD students from all universities in Australia and internationally, and we welcome presentations on new and exciting research on emotions at our events, and interest in forming collaborations for papers, book, grants and other outputs.
