CASS Work-in-Progress Group

The CASS WIP was scheduled to run as part of Research Week activities in the School of Humanities and Social Inquiry. The group read work in progress by two CASS members:

André Brett circulated a draft of the introductory chapter of a monograph he is writing, Scars in the Country: Railways in Australian and New Zealand Environments, 1850s–1915.

Simon Ville circulated the final draft of an article titled ‘Investing in a Successful Resource-Based Colonial Economy: International Business in Australia before World War One’. The article, co-authored with David Tolmie Merrett, has now been published in Business History Review. You can read it here.
